If you are buying them to same the animals from being hunted you should know the antlers fall off naturally each year. typically in the spring. i believe the difference between a horn like on a sheep and an antler like on a deer is antlers fall off and horns just continue to grow throughout the animals life.
Elk horn lamps are awesome! You can do a full height lamp with as few as three antlers and have it look full and tall. The real key to building any antler lamp is the artistry that goes into it. I have many 4 x 4 deer shed to make a chandelier but need one more to match 7 i have. i could do it with any number of sheds i already have but they just dont match these others. it is art as well a function.
Moose horns are harder to come by and so moose lamps are fewer and farther between. if you want to separate yourself from the pack (status) they are your pick!
